Get Ready To Be The Next Upper Valley Idol!

Get ready to audition to become the next Upper Valley Idol! Auditions will be held Nov. 8 at the Westwood Theater from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will also be auditions Nov. 22 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. also at the Westwood Theater. Pick a song, practice a lot, and come ready to perform!

Tips for the audition

1-Sing an appropriate song for a family
2-Rehearse a lot, this is a real audition
3-Don't just sing on stage, perform
4-Show confidence
5-Sing a song in your vocal range

Preliminaries - Public Performances

Each contestant that makes the audition will perform in front of a public audience and a panel of judges. After each performance, the judge panel will give their critique on the singing and the performance. Once everyone has sung, the audience and judge panel will vote for 8 people in each category to advance to the semi-finals.

Junior Prelims: Jan. 9, 2009 7 p.m.

UVI Prelims: Jan. 16, 2009 7 p.m.

Semi-Finals - Public Performances

The 8 advancing contestants from each category will perform in front of a public audience and a panel of judges. After each performance the audience and panel of judges will vote for 5 people in each category to advance to the finals.

Junior Semi's: Jan. 10, 2009 7 p.m.
Westwood Theater

UVI Semi's: Jan. 17, 2009 7 p.m.
Westwood Theater

Finals - Public Performances

The 5 advancing contestants from each category will perform in front of a public audience and a panel of judges. Once everyone has performed, the audience and panel of judges will vote for the 2009 Upper Valley Idol & Junior Idol.
